Dec 26, Kellista rated it it was amazing. People do not like this play because it is reality in its truest form. They have an argument over Alice’s presentiment that Dan will leave her.
Order by newest oldest recommendations. Though evocative of real happenings, the lack of physical detail in patrjck is meant to balance the verbal excess.

Check out the movie, it’s an extremely honest and well acted adaptation. The play’s dialogue has a raw emotionality rarely heard in art or life. They’re all selfish, deceitful, conniving, and use sex to both enrich and destroy their lives.
The play has a disturbing, uncomfortable feel and The relationships shown here are partly about what men want and what women want but the discussion encompasses so much more.
It’s easy to see where the accusations of coldness come from. Again with the lying. All it amounts to is unrealistically well-spoken characters standing around in their metal-cage world making points just by saying them.
I enjoyed this play for its realism, its courage, and its witty dialogue. I thought the 4 character play Closer was going to be more than it is ;atrick a slight comedic study of how pqtrick couples play games but never are intimate with each other, but not so.
I could read and watch this play over and over again Refresh and try again.

Closer is being hailed as one of the best new plays of the nineties, and as the London Observer noted, it “has wired itself into the cultural vocabulary in a way that few plays have ever done.
Is that how singles are these days? Write something that might survive.
